since mother’s day is on it’s way – did i just throw a little rhyme in there – i made a list of things to make for your mother. handmade gifts are the way to go on mother’s day, so here are a few diy projects. this post is purely for inspiration so do your thing!

personal library kit

what’s not to like about this personal library kit? if your mum is a book lover, than this is the perfect gift for her. you could personalize this, but you can also download the free printables at Twig & Thistle.

book art

in previous posts i showed different kinds of book art, but this cute apple shaped book by Cheeky Magpie you can do yourself. you could create different shapes if you want, however it’s important to keep the bottom part stable.

eco-friendly notebooks

you could also make your mum a recycled notebook. it’s a fun gift and eco-friendly. if you want to know how to make this notebook, check out the tutorial on Design*Sponge.

there’s also an tutorial on how to make a journal using old postcards.

bookmarks

a bookmark is easy to make, simple yet usefull. i like this bookmark with personal photos. you’ll find a tutorial on this on make and takes. you could also go to a photobooth and give the photos alone as a bookmark, but this makes the gift a bit more fancy.

if you’re an experienced paper cutter or own a digital paper cutting device these little bird bookmarks are cute to make.

and last but not least you can also make a corner bookmark as shown in this video here.
